Comberton Playgroup
Helping every child learn, grow and reach their potential.
Set in the heart of Comberton, our Ofsted-rated “Good” Playgroup has been caring for children aged 2 to 5 years from the local community for the past 50 years.
We aim to provide a stimulating, safe, and secure environment that encourages collaborative learning and supports children to become inquisitive, confident learners. We believe passionately that play is serious work for children, giving them space to gain knowledge, express their emotions, build self-esteem, and make sense of the world at their own pace. Whether exploring our garden, joining in messy play, or preparing for primary school, every child is supported to reach their full potential with kindness and respect.
Sessions & Funded Places
We are open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm during school term time, offering the full government-funded 30 hours across our morning and afternoon sessions. We currently have spaces available across most sessions - please get in touch to find out more and secure a place.
Flexible & Holiday Care
Should you require additional childcare hours or holiday care, our Holiday Club runs from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (with an option to stay until 5:00 pm) across February half term, Easter, May/June half term, and the first three weeks of the summer holidays. We also work closely with a number of local childminders, including one based directly at playgroup, to offer flexible wrap-around support.
